Synopsis
The Killer Inside Me, based on an adaptation of the Jim Thompson novel, tells the story of a small town Sheriff who is involved in a series of murders. A West Texas deputy sheriff is slowly unmasked as a psychotic killer. The Killer Inside Me is a 1952 novel by American writer Jim Thompson. In the introduction to the anthology Crime Novels: American Noir of the 1950s, it is described as "one of the most blistering and uncompromising crime novels ever written." √The story is told through the eyes of its protagonist, Lou Ford, a deputy sheriff in a small Texas town. Ford seems to be a regular, small-town cop leading an unremarkable existence; beneath this facade, however, he is a cunning, depraved sociopath responsible for a number of grisly murders. Ford murders a prostitute and her lover, the latter a son of a local millionaire and the real power in town. Ford builds a solid alibi and frames other people for the double homicide. However, to successfully frame others when the evidence starts to go against him, he has to commit additional murders or induce further deaths. But these only increase suspicion until the local authorities begin stripping away his mask of sanity. Then he reveals to the reader the full nature of the inner demons that drive his criminal behavior.

Friendship! is comedy by German production company Wiedemann & Berg. It stars German actors Matthias Schweighöfer and Friedrich Mücke and will film in and around Albuquerque from December 2 to January 20th. The production plans to hire approximately 60 local crew members and more than 325 actors, including principal and background talent. Based on real life experiences by co-producer Tom Zickler, Friendship! tells the story of a young East German who in 1989 travels to San Francisco with his best friend to find his father who fled the communist country years earlier. It will be released in Germany in November 2009 for the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Markus Goller will direct, with Mark Popp serving as executive producer. Max Wiedemannn and Quirin Berg will produce.
